Part time/Full time Position for Law Firm Legal Assistant or Paralegal
– This is a job where you must earn your keep, focus on your work and not be distracted by texts and personal phone calls. We represent troops and veterans whose cases require focus
– flexible hours / in person position (virtual work also available for the right person)
– We seek a military spouse or veteran (obviously including National Guard and Reserve Component members) who has a passion for serving the legal and administrative needs of reserve, active and retired personnel. We will happily train the right person with:

- Strong writing and advocacy skills
- Organizational skills to perform case management, electronic and paper records
- Great interpersonal skills
- Ability to review intake forms of prospective clients
- Enjoys working independently with minimal daily supervision
We’re a law firm headquartered in Huntsville, AL, composed of military Veterans who have proudly served our country. We maintain a satellite law office in NJ, where we founded the firm.
Citizen Soldier Law serves all branches of the military and those serving in other government organizations. We represent those in need of legal assistance, especially those who are injured in service, often challenging allegations of misconduct, entitled to a military disability pension, and need a medical evaluation board. These clients are entitled to due process and their rights must be safeguarded.
Our growing team is searching for motivated individuals who must be familiar with the military, married to the military or a current or prior service military with at least 3 years of experience and is passionate in supporting our military clients.
Experience and education:
- 3+ years’ experience law office, military or human resources
- Bachelor’s degree not necessary but relevant education preferred
- Advantageous to have experience providing human resources or legal support to service members
- Advantageous to have familiarity with IDES/MEB/PEB and ability to comprehend military regulations and policies
Salary commensurate with experience.
